[ Background music ] >> Jasmine France: The headphone market it swamped with ultra portable ear buds of every variety but these require you to stick something at least partially into your ear and sometimes even a lot further if it has an ear plug style design. If you count yourself among those who are loathed to put objects inside your ears a better bet is a still portable on ear model such as the AKGK518LE that I have right here. These headphones have small round ear pieces that are designed to rest on the outside of your ears and yet they fold down into a compact size when you want to transport them. As such they're still a good option for someone who requires portability. To that end AKG also includes a soft travel pouch in the package. The ear cuffs themselves feature a leather wrap padding though it's not particularly soft and I found that the round shape tended to put uncomfortable pressure on my ear during wear. Of course everyone's' ears are different so this may not be an issue for you. The headband is not padded but it offers [inaudible] style with a partially exposed metal support on the top. The ear pieces are also understated and yet still stylish offering a choice of 7 color accents which range from red all the way through to the purple version I have right here. [ Background music ] >> At $139 the AKGK518LE headphones aren't super cheap but they do provide balanced audio quality and a secure fit making them a reasonable value.
