A tiny sensor that monitors your sunlight exposure
This little thing right here is not nail art, it is a UV sensor.
The UV Sense is a first of its kind electronic sensor that monitors individual UV exposure.
So if you want to see how much UVA or UVB exposure you have, you can do so easily using this app.
The UV Sense app works with iOS and Android and it automatically sync with the sensor so you can see real time update on exposure trends.
The sensor is reusable and reheat itself so you can wear it for up to two weeks on your nail or just leave it on your sunglasses, your shoes or wherever else you want.
To detect UV rays.
It is battery free, so it recharges using NFC using your phones antenna.
It's less than two millimeters thick and nine millimeters in diameter.
Right now if you're interested in getting the UV Sense, you can't get it.
For the next year the UV Sense is going to be available directly through dermatologists, but next year L'oreal is going to make it publically available.
Pricing hasn't been finalized but it's going to be $40 or less.
Understanding your daily UV exposure can help your skin care regime, but can also help avoid skin cancer.
