Sprint is poised to make a little noise on Tuesday.
The wireless carrier, which has been scrambling to upgrade its network and win back customers, will host an event in Manhattan with only the tease "Hear it for yourself."

Sprint is reportedly set to strike a deal to offer Spotify's premium music service, possibly at a discounted rate, according to tech news site Recode. The tease may also be a reference to Sprint's work with HD voice, which it announced with fanfare two years ago but has been relatively quiet about recently.
The company is badly in need of something to excite its existing customers and lure consumers from its rivals. For now, it continues to bleed customers, particularly to a revitalized and more aggressive T-Mobile.
CNET editor Brian Bennett, photographer Sarah Tew, and I will be bringing you details, photos, and commentary from the event. It kicks off at 7:45 am PT/10:45 am ET.
The event follows the release of Sprint's first-quarter earnings results. CEO Dan Hesse is expected to be on hand.
