The Nokia Lumia 830 goes on sale with a discounted Fitbit Flex for a limited time. Andrew Hoyle/CNET

Starting November 7 (that's this Friday, by the way), AT&T customers will be able to buy a Nokia Lumia 830 smartphone bundled with a free Fitbit Flex fitness band.

The Windows Phone sells for $450 solo, without a contract, but tack on a Fitbit Flex and the price of that wearable drops from $100 to free.

Buy the phone with a contract, and you do have AT&T's usual variety of payment plan options. A two-year contract gets you the phone for $100. With AT&T Next 18, it'll cost $0 down and $18.75 a month for 18 months; with Next 12 that's $22.50 a month.

For its part, the Nokia Lumia 830 tempts you with metal edging and the company's typical bright colors in addition to the choice of more sedated tones. Windows Phone 8.1 brings Cortana's competent voice assistant. Specs-wise, the 5-inch, 720p display pairs with a 10-megapixel camera and quad-core processor.
