Xaiomi sets January 15 as the date for its next phone unveil. Xiaomi

Coming seemingly from nowhere to gobble up a huge slice of the Chinese smartphone market, handset maker Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil a fresh mobile device on January 15. The company's website sets the location for the launch event at the National Conference Center in Beijing and playfully teases fans to guess what kind of gadget Xaiomi has up its sleeve.

Just how thin are a cicada's wings, anyway? Xiaomi

Yes, Xiaomi goes so far as to ask the cryptic question, "What does it look like? What is as thin as a cicada's wings?" Well, your guess is as good as mine, but I'll bet dollars to donuts that the electronics firm plans to really push the trimness envelope with the design of its next phone. If it's anything like the upcoming Redmi 2 and current Mi 4 handsets, chances are good it'll be very eye-catching, not to mention being packed with premium parts, too.
