One of the oddest-looking (and oddest-named) phones we've seen at CTIA is the UTStarcom GzOne Type V. Watch out, Nextel, as UTStarcom is promising that the phone is resistant to water and shock. And from what we've seen, it certainly looks like it could stand up to a few blows. Features include EV-DO support, a 65,000-color display, a 2-megapixel camera, text and multimedia messaging, and a speakerphone. Though the display model in UTStarcom's booth was running on Verizon Wireless, UTStarcom wouldn't confirm the Type V would end up with that carrier. See our CTIA slide show for pictures.
