T-Mobile's new Samsungs

Last week at the CTIA show in Los Angeles, T-Mobile said it would release the Samsung SGH-T619 flip phone and the Samsung SGH-T629 slider handset by the end of this month. And now just days later, the carrier has quietly launched both models. Both handsets are yet more entries into the slim phone marathon that every manufacturer is running these days. The T619 and the T629 are just 0.6 inches thick.

Also, as previously reported, both handsets are styled after previous T-Mobile Samsungs. The T619 is an update to the SGH-T609 and offers Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, world phone support, a speakerphone, voice dialing, and a digital music player. Meanwhile the T629 is similar to the Samsung SGH-T809, except that it comes in silver instead of black. Its feature list is similar to the T619's with Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a digital music player, world phone support, and voice dialing. The T619 is $79 with service, while the T629 is $149 with service.
