T-Mobile releases Tap and Nokia 3711

At the start of the fall CTIA show, T-Mobile releases the T-Mobile Tap, Nokia 3711 and a new version of the MyTouch 3G,

T-Mobile Tap

T-Mobile followed its Samsung Behold II announcement Tuesday by unveiling the T-Mobile Tap and Nokia 3711. The two phones get their debut the day before the fall CTIA show begins in San Diego.

The Tap from Huawei (this is T-Mobile's first Huawei phone) has a touch-screen design that resembles the Samsung Highlight. It's available in two colors: berry and midnight blue. Features include support for T-Mobile's 3G network, a 2-megapixel camera with video, a music player, a Web browser, GPS with TeleNav, stereo Bluetooth, messaging and e-mail, a speakerphone and a personal organizer. It will go on sale later this year.

Nokia 3711 T-Mobile

The Nokia 3711 is a flip phone with a gray-and-black finish and a hidden external display. Inside you'll find 3G support, GPS with Nokia Maps, a 2-megapixel camera with video, stereo Bluetooth, a speakerphone, messaging and e-mail, a personal organizer, and Nokia's Series 40 operating system. We don't have pricing yet, but the 3711 will hit stores before the end of the year.

The carrier also revealed a limited edition of the T-Mobile MyTouch 3G. Called the Fender, it sports a simulated wood-grain finish and (hurrah!) a 3.5mm headset jack. We'll follow up with photos and video of all new handsets soon.
