Sony phones using Openwave messaging

Mobile phone software maker Openwave Systems announced Wednesday that its software that provides multimedia messaging services (MMS) for wireless devices is now available on a Sony Ericsson phone. MMS lets wireless users send text messages to each other that can also contain graphics, photos and audio clips. Sony Ericsson's T68i comes out of the partnership formed last year between the two companies, which aims to strengthen their positions in the hyper-competitive wireless market using Ericsson's telecom experience and Sony's media and consumer electronics expertise.
