Short Take: Tivoli announces network management software

announced the Tivoli Netview-IT Director Edition, which allows centralized network and systems management for small and mid-sized businesses. Features include a Web interface; monitoring of desktop information, including operating systems, memory, and hard drives; and monitoring of the entire network, including routers, switches, printers, and servers. The product, which includes licensing to manage up to 1,000 nodes, will ship in March and cost $4,995.
