Short Take: Nortel pairs with HP for application services

Nortel Networks has partnered with Hewlett-Packard and several software companies to enter the application service provider (ASP) market. Nortel plans to offer products and consulting services in the first half of 2000 to help service providers rent software over the Web to small and mid-size businesses. Other companies in the partnership include Intershop, Software.com and Concur Technologies.
