Short Take: Cabletron names new operating chief

Cabletron Systems names Romulus Pereira chief operating officer, responsible for directing Cabletron's engineering, sales, services, and marketing organizations. Pereira founded Yago Systems with Cabletron's newly appointed chief executive Piyush Patel. Prior to Yago, Pereira worked at Cisco Systems on high-speed switching technology and ATM networking as part of Cisco's Fusion Architecture Group.
