iLive IJ618B: Turn your iPod into a Karaoke machine
Anyone planning a party should have one of these: the iLive IJ618B lets your guests sing along to the music they bring, Karaoke-style
Prepare for some more drunken renditions of My Way. This machine transforms your humble iPod from portable music player into a fully functioning Karaoke machine -- simply dock your iPod and go.
It's not a new idea, but it's one of the best around, as it charges your iPod while it's docked. When you start singing into the microphone, the dock automatically brings the level of the vocal down, so your friends can enjoy/boo your 'talent'.
If you get to the second verse and realise that you only know the bit in the chorus that goes "nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah", (tip: the rest of it is "hey Jude"), the vocal comes back up until you get to a more familiar part. There are two microphone jacks, so Meatloaf's Paradise by the Dashboard Light is a distinct possibility.
It costs $100 (£50) and is so good, it won an Innovations 2008 Design and Engineering Award at CES. So that's told you. -Jason 'Neil Diamond' Jenkins
