Google Pixel phones keep all your pixels online for free
Photos and videos taken on Google's new phones will be stored online -- in original resolution -- for the life of the phones, shuttling older shots to cloud storage if you run out of room.
If you get a new Google Pixel or Pixel XL phone, you'll never run out of storage for photos and videos.
At the company's event on Tuesday, Google announced it will offer all owners of the Pixel phones unlimited photo and video storage at full resolution.
You can take all the 12-megapixel HDR+ photos and HD videos you want -- if you max out the local storage space on the phone, Google will transfer your older shots to the cloud automatically.
Since all photos are also uploaded to the Google Photos app, the entirety of your collection is just a simple search away.
