The Nexus has landed. Twice. The LG-made Nexus 5X and the Huawei-built Nexus 6P have both finally got launch dates and pricing for Australia.

The 5X is being positioned as the mid-range Nexus, with a plastic casing, smaller 5.2-inch screen and a lower price tag. The 5.7-inch AMOLED 6P, with its aluminium body, on the other hand, is the bigger and sexier flagship. Both, of course, are designed to showcase the purest and latest Android 6.0, AKA Marshmallow. You can see our full review of the Nexus 5X here and the Nexus 6P gets put through it's paces over here .

The pricing and availability on the two new Nexus phones gets a little confusing, so lets break down where you can get them and how much you'll pay.

Nexus 5X

The 5X comes in three different colours (blue, black and white) and two different storage sizes: 16GB or 32GB.

On Plan: If you want to buy the 5X on plan, Telstra is your only option. Telstra is offering the 32GB device in either Blue or Black. It's on a variety of different plans, including the Go Mobile AU$70 per month where there are no additional handset repayments and you'll pay a minimum of AU$1,680 on a 24-month contract.

Outright: JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman are the two retail partners at launch. JB has the 32GB 5X in black, costing AU$739. Harvey Norman has both 16GB and 32GB variants, also only in black. The 16GB is AU$659.

On the Google Store the prices are the same, but you can get both 16GB or 32GB in any of the three colours, if you're after a specific combo.

Nexus 6P

The 6P comes in aluminium, black or white and there are three storage options: 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.

On Plan: Both Optus and Vodafone will offer the Nexus 6P. Optus has the 32GB aluminium and Vodafone has the 64GB aluminium model. Both will offer the devices on a variety of plans and we'll update when details are confirmed.

Outright: Once again, JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman will stock the 6P at launch. Both will only have the 64GB aluminium version, both for AU$999.

If you want the 32GB outright, you'll need to head to the Google Store where it'll cost you AU$899. If you want 128GB of space, that's AU$1,099 and also only from the Google Store. You'll also need to shop from Google if you want white or black.
