Extreme Networks names new CFO

Internet infrastructure company Extreme Networks on Wednesday said Harold L. Covert has been named vice president and chief financial officer. Prior to joining Extreme Networks, Covert was the CFO for Silicon Graphics. The company, based in Santa Clara, Calif., recently posted a fourth-quarter net loss of $11.4 million, or 10 cents a share, on revenue of $115 million.
