EarthLink tops 100,000 broadband Net subscribers
Internet service provider EarthLink has topped 100,000 high-speed, or "broadband," Net subscribers, doubling its customer base since April, the company said. The company uses digital subscriber line (DSL) technology to serve more than 60 U.S. markets. EarthLink recently launched a large advertising campaign touting its new system that allows consumers to self-install a high-speed connection.
