Hey Atlas crew,

I’ve had a Droid X for awhile now and I love it. I’m still getting used to Android after being on a Blackberry for the last few years and I’m having trouble finding a solution to SMS exporting. I have a few conversation threads that have hundreds of messages in them and I would like to delete them without losing them. I’m having a difficult time finding a good tool to export my SMS messages. What app do you guys recommend for this? Thanks for reading my mail and keep up the great work!

Hey Justin and Jessica, I’m emailing you because I feel you missed some really great names to start the ‘StartTalking’ App. For instance, since it is a car mode type of app the obvious one would be ‘KITT’ like in Knight Rider. Some other good ones: ‘Kirk to Bridge’, ‘Mr. Spock’, and possibly ‘Engineering Report’ a la Star Trek, ‘JARVIS’ from Iron Man, ‘HAL’ for obvious reasons. Love the show Muel in Seattle (pronounced Mule)

Just got done listening to episode 18, where you discusses the upcoming Verizon phones that will use Bing search by default. While you expressed concern for Google’s revenue stream and support for consumer choice, I think you missed the big story. Due to a search deal between Verizon and Microsoft, customers are worried that they will not be able to use Google search if they choose. The Samsung Fascinate (Verizon’s Galaxy S) ships with Bing as the default search service, and consumers are NOT ABLE TO REPLACE IT WITH GOOGLE. Despite the great hardware coming out for Verizon, I will not be upgrading from my Droid 1 until there’s an Android handset that allows me to use Google when I hit the search key.
