Comic-Con news: PSP to work with PS3
Last Friday at San Diego Comic-Con, Sony revealed that the PSP will work with the PlayStation 3, possibly as some sort of remote control or media receiver. IGN has reported that the PSP will "have additional functionality and interactivity with Sony's next-gen PS3." Sony also announced that movie trailers will be available on UMD format and that the next PSP firmware upgrade will support video newsfeeds. With UMD losing support and the Nintendo DS crushing it in the market, the PSP has had some problems lately. Still, Sony might yet be able to squeeze some life out of the perfunctory portable.
