[MUSIC]
This is our award for best sound.
And filming all these cars over the last year, I've heard some absolutely tremendous ones.
A car's looks are important but the noise is something that really sends shivers down my spine.
And here's some of the highlights.
One Ferrari F40 is plenty good enough but two, driving side by side bouncing off the empty stands and rocking them.
I'll shut up so you can actually hear it.
Because these words just aren't going cut it.
Our trip to America this year put us in the company of some absolutely mighty V8s.
But our first Mustang, a Shelby Mustang GTSC through the desert with a special occasion for the whole team.
And that deep rumble is not one we're going to forget in a hurry.
[NOISE].
Think that we're writing a love letter to V8s here with just one more to come.
The F type R. Jag's five liter supercharged unit has this deep husky mechanical burble that really comes to life when it starts to sing.
[NOISE] Everyone loves a V12 don't they?
Try this one on for size.
Aston's V12 Vantage S which I believe is Alex's personal favorite.
[NOISE]
And here's our wild card we decided to throw into the mix.
The Saleen tuned version of the Tesla model S, the ST.
This one I feel is definitely gonna be a controversial selection.
This was vehemently debated in comments when the film came out.
I'm not sure whether I'd want to live with this noise all day driving the car.
It would probably drive me absolutely mad, but just hearing the thing pass, it certainly left an impression on all the team.
And finally, the winner.
This one's in the name of the vehicle itself.
They've reimagined the 911 in to something beyond every classic 911 fan's wildest dream.
Listen closely to this one, because this car's a singer and the winner of our Sound of the Year award What car do you think makes the best noise?
