We get to meet a lot of very lovely, charming people in the automotive industry either because we're interviewing them, or because simply, they're kicking about and like to say "hello." Either
way, here's our shortlist for XCAR Person of the Year.
Charles Morgan may no longer be employed by the Morgan Motor Company, but the day we spent with him in his Aeromax was fun from start to finish.
He's the face of Morgan and has an infectious charm that just makes you want to like him.
He's like a kick-ass uncle.
If Charles Morgan is an uncle, then, Elon Musk is about where he sees [unk] dark.
He's a tech gig who did very, very good.
He's got a better space program in the most countries, and he
wants to see the world drive electric cars.
And he's awesome.
If old-school Porsches are your thing, then Magnus Walker is your kind of guy.
He's a passionate chap who obsessively collects whichever series of 911 he favors at the moment.
His love of all things Porsche is certainly endearing.
Passion is a big part of the automotive world, and there are a few men as passionate about cars as Horacio Pagani.
The son of a baker in Argentina, the Pagani name is now one of the most coveted in the automotive world.
To talk to, he's engaging and inspiring even if he didn't speak the same language as us.
That and-- yeah.
That got tricky.
Our winner for 2013 is Charles Morgan.
You know why?
He's a really, really sound guy.
We're only supposed to have 40 minutes with him, but he wanted to be part of what we were up to.
He wanted to tell his story and he wanted to show just how great his company cars were.
Well, Charles, you're a great guy, and we look forward to hearing more from you in the future.
