>> Hey folks, Brian Cooley here with the new 2010 Prius. Let me give you a quick how-to on pairing and using your Bluetooth phone for both hands-free calling and streaming stereo audio, what's called A2DP streaming Bluetooth. Easiest way to get to all this is to the set-up button over here on the right, I hit that, and you've got your basic buckets of what you can set up. We want to set up with phone. And here we have Bluetooth. And in this case, hit manage phone after that. Here you'll see phones that are already paired, and /or open slots. You can put four phones in this system at once. I'll press a spot here, and now I'm gonna add my new phone. Now, you go to your phone. It's different on every phone, of course, but the basic idea is go to your set up Bluetooth area, and tell it to start searching for this car. It's going to be called car multimedia when it shows up, and there's your pass code right down there. And it looks like I'm finding it now on my BlackBerry in this case. Okay, I see I've go the same name, car multimedia, car multimedia, so I've found the right device, 1212 in this case, and enter. And you'll see on here your Bluetooth indicator, your battery power for your phone, as well as the number of bars you've got for actual signal from the phone right there. Okay, let's check out the Bluetooth audio we also just set up as part of that pairing process. I go to the aux button here to get Bluetooth audio. You see on the tabs here, it's over on the right, near aux, but this is a wireless connection. Now, of course, I can put this any where in the car, it's wireless. And I've got the audio streaming in stereo there, as well as having control of the tracks. Finally, to remove devices from the vehicle system, whether audio or hands-free, go back into that same menu area, go to manage phone, just like we did when we paired. Select the phone you want and then decide if you want to disconnect it. So it operates in sort of two modes. It's one device, and there's one pairing process, but the connections and deregistration of the phone part or the streaming audio part are handled largely separately. So that's a basic idea on how you pair and use both the hands-free phone and the streaming Bluetooth audio in the 2010 Prius and Toyotas with similar advanced head units.
