>> Quick, what's the fastest nine eleven ever? Porsche says it's this one the GT2. It's a lesson in purity. Rear wheel drive only, six speed manual gear box, three point six liter twin turbo engine, five hundred and thirty horsepower, that's fifty more than the current nine eleven turbo which is way down with all wheel drive to boot. This new GT2 is good for a zero to sixty score in three point six seconds. By the way it has three hundred horsepower more than the original nine eleven turbo had back in nineteen seventy six. It's also the first production car certified by Porsche to top two hundred miles per hour. The turbos are bigger and variable for more boost, there's a launch mode that builds up thirteen PSI on the manifold when the clutch and throttle are both down, that's a little radical, but more power is often the hardest way to go fast. Less weight is more elegant so the GT2 is also the first road going Porsche with a titanium exhaust system, I bet that's cheap to replace, ceramic breaks are standard for a car this brutal and something north of a hundred and ninety grand will get you one when it arrives in early 2008.
