>> Ford's Lincoln division is going through a rather awkward name change gestation right now, many of their cars are becoming MK something's. And the names are kind of awkward, some of the cars are pretty awkward, this on the other hand is not one of them. Now it's an MK all right, the MKR, nothing awkward about it. Beautiful lines starting from the front end where the grill in the way nose is shaped recalls some of the last pre-war Lincoln's with their sinuous front ends. Under that hood you'll find a 31/2 L, direct fuel injection, twin turbo V6, very interesting engine configuration, they say it's good for 415 horse power and 400 foot-pounds of torque. Now inside the car it's a green message, natural mohair carpets, recycled oak trim inside the vehicle and that the seat cushions are made of a recyclable soy material. Oh by the way that green theme continues in the fact that this car is envisioned as running very frequently on E85, really tuned for that fuel. Now it's a concept of course, but hopefully it points to a new design language for Lincoln that can bring them into cohesiveness much the way Cadillac has done in recent years.
