Xact Navi does more than navigate

Xact is probably more well known for its Sirius Satellite Radio products than in-car GPS devices, but the company was showing off a pretty hot unit at CES. The Xact Navi is a portable in-car GPS device that comes with many of the standard features found on today's systems, including voice-guided directions, 2D and 3D map views, more than 2 million points of interest, automatic rerouting, and a 4GB hard drive preloaded with maps. However, the Navi does more than navigate. It can play MP3s, display photos, and is Sirius ready. The GPS device also has an FM transmitter and an auxiliary audio input so that you can plug in your iPod or your MP3 player to listen to your tunes that way. Although it has extra musical talent, Xact stressed that this is a navigation unit first and foremost. Some other goodies include a 4-inch touch screen, a USB 2.0 interface, and a remote control. The Xact Navi will cost $699 and should be available in March.
