Hoping to entice more customers, Verizon is bringing back its $300 trade-in deal starting today. You can bring in your old phone and get up to $300 of credit if you activate a new line, upgrade your current account or switch to Verizon altogether. The credit can go toward purchasing a new device or paying off your phone bill.

Not every handset is eligible under this deal, however. The ones you can purchase to receive the $300 deal include the Apple iPhone 6; the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5; the HTC M9; the LG G4 and the V10.

There are other (more recent) devices you can trade in for, but you may not get the full $300 credit. These are the Apple iPhone 6S and 6S Plus; the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge; the HTC 10; the LG G5; the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and the Maxx 2.

You should also note that the handset you trade in still needs to be in good, working condition, with no cosmetic damage. If your old phone does have a cracked screen, however, you can still trade it in for a Droid Turbo 2 or Maxx 2. For more details (i.e., more restrictions and fine print) head over to Verizon's site.
