Could this be a prototype of the HTC One X for AT&T? Electronista

Sprint certainly made waves when it unveiled its own version of HTC's coveted One X Android superphone, theHTC Evo 4G LTE. Amid the new Evo's hype, you may have forgotten that the One X is slated to hit AT&T too. A sharp-eyed member of the XDA Developers forum didn't, and nabbed what looks like a prototype of the handset in a blink.

According to Electronista, XDA member @votecow spotted the device on sale at eBay and quickly dropped in to seal the deal. Electronista points out that pictures of this One X are marked AT&T and with the foreboding words, "Not For Sale" clearly etched across its back plate.

Looks like this alleged HTC One X (AT&T) prototype is clearly not for sale. Electronista

I doubt HTC will send out an Apple-style SWAT team to bust down doors anytime soon. Still, @votecow may want to tread carefully just in case AT&T's lawyers come calling. If it's one thing I've learned, never underestimate the power of U.S. wireless carriers or you may end up in a ditch like Google Wallet.
