Sky TV goes wild, off air

Sky TV goes wild, off air

Tom Merritt Former CNET executive editor
We mean no disrespect to the TV-deprived citizens of New Zealand or Australia, but Buzz finds this sort of fascinating. Satellite Optus B1 has during a positioning maneuver and is now broadcasting its signal in the wrong direction. That means no footie broadcasts on Sky TV for all of Oceania. But it makes us wonder. Where is that signal ending up? Are space aliens watching the wonders of What about Mimi? Or is it confused Yakuts? Sky says it's trying to fix the satellite's position soon and will probably do it before we can ever know the truth.
