Short Take: Nortel ships new phone system

Nortel Networks has begun shipping a new phone system for small and mid-sized businesses. The new phone system lets companies make Internet-based phone calls within corporate networks, or to traditional phone systems. The product is part of Nortel's Inca strategy, combining voice and data traffic on a single Internet-based network. Nortel has also introduced several new products for small businesses, including network interface cards and virtual private network software.
