Short Take: Newbridge sells networking equipment to New Edge Networks

Newbridge Networks said it will sell $200 million worth of networking equipment to New Edge Networks, a provider of high-speed Internet access. New Edge, based in Vancouver, Wash., is building a network using Newbridge's technology and plans to offer digital subscriber line (DSL) access to small and medium-sized cities and rural areas throughout the United States.
