Short Take: IBM, NYU offer classes
IBM and New York University formed a partnership to offer information systems courses to professionals worldwide. IBM and NYU will develop 30 online courses leading to seven graduate and noncredit certificates such as systems development, project management, client-server systems, and networking technologies. All course work will be conducted from students' home or office PCs; there will be no on-campus sessions. The first classes begin next September. The Sloan Foundation provided $900,000 toward this project.
