Short Take: FCC hosts panel on minority-owned telecom companies

Market barriers faced by women- and minority-owned communications companies will be examined by the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, William Kennard and commissioner Gloria Tristani in a policy forum Dec. 12. Under a 1996 law the FCC is required to conduct studies looking for such market barriers and then to develop solutions. More information is available at the FCC .
