Short Take: Exodus shares spike to new high

Exodus Communications shares gained more than 7 percent to finish at 126.125, a new high for the Web hosting company. Analysts said the strength of the out-sourced Web hosting business and the recent acquisition of Exodus competitor Frontier by Global Crossing are driving the gains. Stock in Exodus is up more than 23 percent in the last week. Shares have traded as high as 122.875 and as low as 15.5 in the past 52 weeks.
