Short Take: EarthLink and Charter team up

ISP EarthLink and telecom service provider Charter Communications have formed a strategic alliance to deliver high-speed Internet access through cable modems to Charter's customers in Southern California. Service to the city of Riverside is available at speeds of up to 400 kbps for $39.95 per month, while Pasadena residents have access to speeds of up to 512 kbps for $60 per month.
