Short Take: Cypress Communications nets $53.5 million

Cypress Communications, a communications service provider offering local and long distance voice, Web hosting, and high-speed Net access to tenants in commercial office buildings, received $53.5 million in private equity financing. The Atlanta-based company said the funding will be used for national expansion efforts.
