Short Take: Cisco exec named to FCC panel

Cisco Systems announced that one of its executives will sit on an advisory panel at the Federal Communications Commission. Christine Hemrick, Cisco's vice president for technology communications, will join the newly constituted Technological Advisory Council. The panel was established last fall as a means to make recommendations to the FCC on issues such as the convergence of voice, video, and data on networks.
