Short Take: Cabletron names new technology chief

Cabletron has appointed John Roese as its new chief technology officer. Roese, a Cabletron employee since 1991, was previously senior director of systems engineering. Roese replaces Michael Skubicz, who became executive vice preside of software at Cabletron's new Spectrum network management software unit.
