About 46.5 million homes in the United States have Net access today, up from 14.9 million in 1995. Strategis forecasts 8.3 million businesses will have Net access in 2004, up from 6.3 million in 1999 for a combined total of 171 million Internet users by 2004. Average monthly access fees per residential customer slipped to $17.94, the study found.
