Short: Symplex offers free firewall upgrade from site

Symplex Communications will make a new firewall upgrade and IP (Internet Protocol) assignment option available for free on its Web site for its DirectRoute router customers. The new software will improve security of LAN (local area networks) linking routers through a Layer 4 implementation that checks to see which application, whether email or a browser, is accessing the router. It will also allow users to share a pool of IP addresses.
