Samsung Omnia viral video: Not corporate cack shocker

Normally we scoff at corporate attempts to make viral videos, but in this case we watched with joy as Samsung cracked the concept with this stonking video

It's extremely rare that big companies do the 'viral video' thing well, let alone "wow that's cool" well -- but someone has hit the jackpot and surprisingly it's the king of nonsensical slogans, Samsung. In this homage to unboxing videos, Samsung and some 'impishly creative friends' have put together a fantastic unboxing video.

We don't want to ruin the surprise, but let's just say we wish this was how all unboxings went. The phone that Samsung is trying to promote through the video is the Samsung Omnia i900, a Windows Mobile smart phone that features a touchscreen, HSDPA and GPS.

The Omnia also packs a 5-megapixel camera and 8GB or 16GB of internal memory with the option to expand via a microSD slot. In other words, this is a super-phone that packs almost everything you'd want or need. Business bods will be particularly interested in the ability to edit Microsoft documents on the go, something the iPhone 3G has yet to be able to do. But this isn't about the Omnia, this is about the coolest viral video from a corporation that we've seen so far, so watch it below. -Andrew Lim
