Samsung is aware of a problem with its Note 3 smart phone, which sees third-party accessories not working on phones running Android 4.4 KitKat.

The arrival of the new version of Android saw some third-party accessories (cases, for example) stop working, SamMobile reports. A statement on the subject was provided in German to site AllaboutSamsung.de, but now CNET UK has been sent an English-language reaction from the South Korean tech giant, attributed to a Samsung spokesperson.

"Samsung is aware of the issue with third-party accessories", the Galaxy S4-maker says, "and is currently investigating it."
