Today, Samsung unveiled its latest productivity tool for mobile professionals: the Samsung SCH-i830. The smart phone largely resembles thein design, but it also has CDMA/GSM functionality, so you can use one phone and one number wherever you go. Available through Verizon Wireless, the i830 also features EV-DO support, a full sliding keyboard, Bluetooth, and an SDIO expansion slot (on top of 64MB of RAM and 128MB of flash memory). It's also equipped with a speakerphone, Windows Media Player 10, and dual stereo speakers with 3D sound. Unfortunately, the i830 runs on Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition instead of the latest Windows Mobile 5. The Samsung i830 will be available to enterprise customers first, starting January 10; the rest of the world can get one on January 24. The price is set at a wallet-stretching $599.99.
