Samsung goes skinny

Don't think that Samsung didn't notice a little phone called the this year. The company must have had slim on the brain ever since the popular Razr made its debut, as it has introduced three slim phones in the last couple of months. The well-received Samsung MM-A900 for Sprint mimics the Razr's flip phone design but adds support for 3G networks, a megapixel camera, and an MP3 player. The Samsung SGH-T809, now available for T-Mobile, is just 0.6 inch wide in a very slick slider design. Inside the T809, Samsung managed to cram in an MP3 player, 70MB of internal memory, a TransFlash card slot, stereo speakers, instant messaging (AOL, Yahoo, and ICQ), a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and quad-band world phone support (GSM 850/900/1800/1900; EDGE). And now at CES, Samsung introduces the SGH-D807. Featuring a similar design as the T809, the D807 also comes with SyncMail for quick access to e-mail. Expect to see the T807 in the second quarter of this year.
