Philippe Kahn Resigns Borland Chairmanship

The founder of Borland International Inc.--Philippe Kahn--has resigned as chairman of the company he started up in 1983 to spend more time with his Starfish Software venture.

Kahn's move wasn't much of a surprise, according to analysts, since he hadn't had any day-to-day input since he resigned as CEO last January.

Starfish is focused on Sidekick, a personal organizer that Kahn brought over from Borland.
