Well, we're almost there.

After months of speculation, Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 7 on Wednesday. We tee up the big event with a discussion about some of our wish list items for the new device. (OK, maybe some are pretty unrealistic, such as a smaller iPhone and the ability to turn the phone into a car.)

Click here for a rundown on how to watch the Apple event.

Also on the podcast, we talk about the recall of Samsung's flagship Galaxy Note 7, just weeks after it launched. Timing couldn't be worse, as the recall -- stemming from overheating or exploding phones -- comes to light just before the new iPhone unveiling.

The 3:59 gives you bite-size news and analysis about the top stories of the day, brought to you by CNET Executive Editor Roger Cheng, Senior Writer Ben Fox Rubin and Producer Bryan VanGelder.
