Check out the first snaps from the 41-megapixel Nokia 808 PureView, in a sultry new video filmed in Brazil.

Press play below to fly down to Rio and see the first insanely detailed photos and video from the high-powered camera phone, taken in the famous carnival town.

According to the advert, the 808's 41-megapixel sensor means you can 'play with a bigger canvas', zooming in to ridiculous depth in photos or capturing crisp detail in close-up shots.

The video also shows off the 808's sharing capabilities, sending photos to Twitter or other Nokia phones using NFC. NFC is a bit like short-range Bluetooth, letting you share files by tapping the two phones together.

Check out our photos of the PureView's features from when I tried it out during its unveiling earlier this year. Besides the dizzying megapixel count, the 808 is packed with features and manual controls, as you can see in my hands-on video right here:

The PureView is certainly an unusual phone, and we initially had our doubts about whether phone networks will opt to make it available -- it seemed to us at first glance like a prototype showing off features that would trickle down in reduced form to the phones in shops. But the arrival of an advert for the 808 suggests Nokia is serious about offering it to customers.

At least one retailer is planning to stock the PureView. The first UK price being bandied about is £540 -- making this surely the most expensive Symbian phone ever.

Has the new advert whet your appetite for the PureView? Are you tempted to get one? Tell me your thoughts in the comments or on our Facebook page.
