New Core 2 Duo systems from Dell, HP, Gateway, Alienware, and others
Even though we lifted the lid on the new CPUs last week, along with early reviews of systems from Falcon, Dell, and Velocity Micro, there are even more desktops with Intel's speedy new chips being announced today.
We managed to get our hands on a few of these new systems, so the full scoop on the Dell XPS 410, the HP Pavilion d4600y, the Alienware Area-51 7500, and the Velocity Micro Raptor DCX is just a mouse click away.
We're also looking forward to getting our hands on Gateway's next-gen systems, the FX510XG, with a Core Duo E6400, and the FX510XT, with a Core 2 Extreme X6800. Both were announced today and start at $2,199 and $3,999 respectively. (Interesting to note that these Gateways come with ATI X1900 XT video cards--an interesting choice for a flagship Intel-based system in light of AMD's just-announced plan to purchase ATI.)
