Metromedia CEO resigns

Metromedia Fiber Network Chief Executive Nick Tanzi is resigning, effective Nov. 30, 2001, the company announced Wednesday. Mark Spagnolo, currently president and chief operating officer, will become president and chief executive. MFN, a New York-based optical communications carrier, said in a statement that Tanzi is leaving the company for personal reasons.
