Dialpad Communications, an Internet-based phone service, is now offering its service to users of the Apple Macintosh personal computers. Dialpad, which has offered PC-to-phone service in the past, which allows a PC user to call anywhere over the Internet via a headset attached to their computer, claims it is the first Net phone company to offer Mac-to-phone service.
Dialpad, which competes against the likes of Net2Phone, Deltathree and Wowring.com, among others, announced the new product Wednesday at the annual Macworld Conference & Expo in New York. The first Mac-ready version of Dialpad's service will be available for the Mac OS X operating system software.
