Holy smart phone rumours, Batman! Nokia is tipped to be cooking up a new big-screened smart phone, that may come with a low price.

The mysterious mobile is code named Batman and will take pride of place in Nokia's budget line of affordable smart phones, the Verge reports, citing 'sources familiar with Nokia's plans.'

This caped crusader is also reckoned to sport a 5-megapixel rear camera, plus Nokia's newest camera software. Meanwhile serial tipsters evleaks have taken to Twitter, claiming that the 'Batman' moniker refers to the Lumia 1320.

The new phone is expected to be similar to the affordable, 4.7-inch Lumia 625 in terms of hardware, so expect another big screen.

The Lumia 625 is the biggest Windows Phone 8 device yet, but we criticised its low resolution, which results in on-screen action looking a little blurry. Here's hoping Nokia can beef up the pixel-count, while keeping the price down.

Nokia has made a Batman phone before, as part of a Dark Knight movie tie-up. But unfortunately, as our tests proved, it made a substandard batphone.

The company has a big event planned on 22 October, where we're expecting to see loads of new gear, including two new Lumia devices.

One of those is reckoned to be the 6-inch Lumia 1520, reportedly code named 'Bandit'. As well as a honking great display, that mobile is said to have a whopping 20-megapixel camera.
